Why Attend?

This winter we are heading off paddock to look at 3 different wintering infrastructure facilities in action towards the end of winter.

We will start at Craig & Krista Stevenson Freestall Barn, then head around the road to Adolf Hardegger to look at their Aztec Shed with rubber matting and flood wash, with our last stop seeing us visit Nick & Nina Tomsett who have a rubber matted open air concrete feedpad with floodwash.

First Stop Hosts: Craig & Krista Stevenson, 5th winter with a freestall wintering barn - 542 Paulins Bush Road, Isla Bank, SN 31625

Second Stop Hosts: Adolf Hardegger, 1st full winter in their new Aztec shed design with rubber matting and flood wash - End of McLeish Rd, Isla Bank, SN 13186

Third Stop Hosts: Nick & Nina Tomsett, 5th winter with their uncovered rubber matted concrete feedpad and flood wash - 78 Robertson Rd, Isla Bank, SN MVM 185

The aim of the tour is to see some different options in the infrastructure space in an afternoon, discuss why that system was invested in, how it fits with their wider business and farm systems model, discuss feeding, nutrient management and environmental footprint, animal wellbeing, BCS, and health! And hope to answer your questions you will have!

Lunch is being kindly provided by Rabobank
